DESCRIPTION
Mountain biking Toubkal through mountain trails and Berber villages of the High Atlas near Marrakech. Three days of mountain biking in the freshness of the mountains of the Toubkal massif.
Departure from Marrakech towards the High Atlas and the Toubkal massif, to Lake Lalla Takerkoust located on the first foothills of the High Atlas where we will take our bikes. Warm up to the village of Taghenchoute and climb to the superb Kik plateau located at 1100 and 2300 m above sea level facing Mount Toubkal, to begin our descent to the village of Asni in the Toubkal National Park.
After this beautiful mountain bike ride through terraced gardens and adobe villages, the track will quickly gain altitude to reach the Ourika valley by mountainside paths linking the many land villages of the valley. A high mountain route up to 2450m above sea level with breathtaking views of the High Atlas peaks and its vertiginous landscapes.
A beautiful descent overlooking the upper Ourika valley will take us between paths and tracks towards Setti Fatma where we will end this beautiful high mountain mountain bike hike in Toubkal. Good mountain biking Morocco in the heart of grandiose landscapes, on the centuries-old Berber trails of the Toubkal massif. Amazing colors, traditional life, customs unchanged for centuries. Itinerary:
Day 1: Imlil - Amizmiz:
After breakfast at the riad in Imlil departure for Tachdirte at (2314 m) by the Tizi N'Tamterte pass (2279m), beautiful descent through the Imnane valley and its villages clinging to the Mountain including Tamguiste, Tinghirne, Ikkis, Amsakrou & Imsker, arrival in Asni (1000m), ascent by the Tizi Ouadou passes offers a beautiful view of the Azzaden valley, the Tazagharte plateau and the Ouirgane dam. Lunch at the inhabitant then heading towards the table of Kik a (1400 m) of altitude offering a beautiful view also on the valley of Nafis and the dam of Lala Takrkouste, easy descent towards the village of Ouchfilne, Marfaman & Ait Zitoune (980 m) in the region of Amzmiz, a night at the inhabitant, the possibility of doing the traditional Hammam. 25 km tar and 34 km of the mountain bike trail.
Day 2: Amizmiz - Toulkine:
After breakfast departure for the valley of Angela by a big climb on the track, the discovery of beautiful small valleys and villages with typical Berber architecture of the High Atlas (1378 m), lunch next to the source of Imi n'Tala then head towards Toulkine (1770 m). Night at the inhabitant. 42 km of mountain biking.
Day 3: Toulkine - Marrakech:
After breakfast departure for a beautiful day and a panoramic view of the plain of Oulad Mtaa crossing a forest and descent to the village of Khamis Tizguine (960 m). Lunch in Oulad Mtaa and heading to the Agafay desert, a wild place with rock dunes in form of dunes... You will take the last track to arrive at the village of Melih, the meeting place for the transfer to Marrakech (45 min drive), 40 km of mountain biking. Installation at the Riad and last evening.
